Vivantio - Finalist for Vendor of the Year Award 2009
The Service Desk Institute asked customers to vote for the best service desk vendor. The results are in.
The Service Desk Institute (SDI), a leading independent professional organisation for the IT service and support industry, has today announced that Vivantio is one of four finalists in the running for their prestigious Service Desk and IT Support Vendor of the Year award.
The Service Desk & IT Support Excellence Awards aim to promote and celebrate every aspect of IT service excellence, professionalism and innovation in the support industry.
In a break from previous years, SDI took the bold step of asking customers to vote on their vendor’s service levels. Customers were asked to rate every aspect of their supplier’s performance including quality of service and value for money. Vivantio was ranked in the top four overall.
Russell Wiltshire, Director, commented: “This is a wonderful achievement for everyone here at Vivantio. Everyone is really pleased. We’ve been working hard from day one to build a fantastic reputation for great customer service and you can’t get better recognition than this.”
Confident that customers would provide an excellent response, Vivantio sent an open letter to every one of its customers asking them to provide honest feedback on the quality of service they receive from us. Russell explains: “We have nothing to hide. We thought this was a great chance for our customers to let everyone know what they think of us.”
The list of finalists makes for some very interesting reading. Two out of the four offer hosted software-as-a-service solutions which is a further indication of the trend towards the SaaS model. Furthermore, most of the better known vendors are missing from the list. Customers are demanding better value for money and higher levels of customer service.
The next stage is an interview with a judging panel – who will be looking for evidence to back up their customer’s scores and demonstration of how they put the customer at the heart of everything they do. The winner will be announced at the Awards dinner in Brighton on 9 June 2009.
Russell Wiltshire concludes: “It’s very interesting that the first year the award for ‘Service Desk & IT Support Vendor of the Year’ is opened up to a customer vote, the usual suspects are nowhere to be seen. We stand and fall on customer satisfaction and the results speak for themselves. It is a great result for us and the other finalists.”
