How Netviewer one2one Works
Online Support without Installation
The basic principles behind Netviewer are always the same, regardless of whether its deployment is spontaneous or the result of careful planning and whether it serves to link departments or distant locations.

1. The supporter starts the consultant program thereby contacting the connection server (CS).

2. The CS sends a session number to the supporter.

3. The supporter passes the session number on to the participant via telephone.

4. The participant starts the participant program and enters the session number.

5. The CS connects supporter and participant and hands over to the communication server (CNS).

6. The session is established, data can be retrieved by both, the supporter and the participant.

Technical Details

Runs on all Windows platforms (Windows 98 and later)

Requirements: PC with Internet access and any browser (also via proxy)

No installation or configuration necessary

Temporarily download a single .exe file of about 400 KB

Firewall compatible (http tunnelling via port 80)

No technical restrictions from low bandwidth (e.g. when using a modem)

Customer’s PC remains unchanged (no system changes from DLLs or registry entries, etc.)
